Delete Your Account

StockUp is operated by SpendWise Apps. This page explains how to delete your StockUp account and all associated data. You can do this directly inside the app, or by emailing us if you no longer have access.

Option 1 - Delete From Inside the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is from the app itself. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Open StockUp on your iPhone or Android device
Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the Danger Zone section
Tap Delete Account and confirm

You don't need to be signed in to use this option - the same flow works for anonymous users.

Option 2 - Request Deletion by Email

If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request deletion by email.

Email spendwiseapps@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

For signed-in accounts, please send the email from the email address associated with your StockUp account so we can verify your identity. Include the sign-in method you used (email, Apple, or Google) if you remember it.

We will process your request within 30 days and email you to confirm once it's complete.

If you used StockUp anonymously (no sign-in), we have no way to identify you from an email - see the note about anonymous users below.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently and irreversibly delete:

Your account record (email, display name, sign-in provider details)
Your List (the products you save so StockUp can watch their prices)
Your Cart
Your preferences (preferred retailer, preferred Coles and Woolworths stores)
Your push notification tokens
Any feedback or product reports you've submitted
Any subscription record associated with your account

What We Retain

We retain a small amount of anonymised analytics data - for example, the fact that "a user opened the app" or "a user viewed a product" on a given date. After deletion, the link between this data and your identity is permanently severed (the user identifier on each analytics row is set to NULL), so it cannot be traced back to you. This lets us continue to measure overall app usage trends without retaining anything personal.

We may also retain limited records as required by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes, if you ever made a purchase). The current version of the App does not offer paid features, so this does not apply today.

If You Used StockUp Anonymously

By default, StockUp creates an anonymous account on your device - no email or sign-in required. Because anonymous accounts are not linked to any identifying information, there are three ways to delete your data:

Use the in-app deletion flow (Option 1 above) - this works for anonymous users too and is the most reliable option.
Uninstall the app and wait 90 days - anonymous accounts that have not been used for 90 days are automatically deleted from our servers, including all associated data.
Uninstall the app immediately - this disconnects your device from your data on our servers. We will have no way to link the data back to you, and it will be cleaned up automatically as part of the 90-day inactivity policy.
